Today would be the 90th birthday of Thelonious Monk if he were still on this planet. This show is a celebration of his music. There aren't enough hours in a day to showcase his work, but I did my best. Wherever you are, thank you Thelonious.

remember that time you came over and we walked to whole foods and i didnt really know how far it was, but you kept saying, "we're almost there", then we kissed behind the capitol on the front lawn and stole sweet tarts from the gift shop, and now i know where whole foods is and think it's insane you tricked me into walking there. i like you a lot, even though we're not together or anything, but who cares. i like you
